Now this is the naked or stripped down version of the S1000RR. This was brought to India in May 2014 and since then has been the centre of attention for many bikers. The bike does come at a cost as it takes the CBU route and attracts 100% import duty. Though stripped down, the S1000R is quite the looker. It maintains the aggressive stance from the S1000RR and very few things differentiate it with its elder sibling. The fairing is replaced by the radiator shrouds and gets asymmetrical dual headlamps. There is no change when it comes to the engine used in the bike and hence the 999cc, oil-cooled, in-line four-cylinder one makes a comeback. However, the engine has been re-tuned to churn out 160bhp, 33 less than the 1000RR. Features like ABS, ASC and many others make their way into the bike.
